Exposed edges, corners and surface areas are free of any sharp edges. Assembly: All components come fully assembled. Individual tiers are packaged one per box . TierSides: The sides and back of each tier section are manufactured from a single piece of 20 gauge cold rolled steel, formed to make three sides incorporating a continuous 3/4" flange on the top and bottom. Shelf: The tier shelf is manufactured from 20 gauge cold rolled steel. The front edge of the shelf has a 1/2" lip with a 1/2" return bend for maximum strength. The shelf is further reinforced with a 20 gauge welded steel channel along its entire length. The tier shelves are punched to include two tabs on the base, and one tab located in the rear. Each shelf includes a 18 gauge slotted formed channel welded to the inside of the tier. The rear tab of the adjustable dividers lock into this channel. Channels include slots punched on 2" centers that correspond to slots on shelves. Divider: Each opening or tier section includes two adjustable file dividers, manufactured from 20 gauge cold rolled steel and powder coat finished to match cabinet color. Dividers can be positioned on 2" centers along the entire shelf length. Door: The fully recessed door of each section is manufactured from 20 gauge cold rolled steel with a 5/8" edge and a 1/2" return bend. The door is also reinforced with a 20 gauge welded steel channel. Each door pivots on two 3/16" hardened steel pins and glides on two non-marring nylon pads. Each door also has two rubber pads to quiet its operation when being closed. Top: The top of each Stak-N-Lok™ unit is manufactured of 20 gauge cold rolled steel and is welded to the upper opening. Base: The base of each unit is manufactured from a single piece of 16 gauge cold rolled steel and includes four 5/16" x 18 threaded leveling domes. Lock: Locking Stak-N-Lok™ units are gang locked using dual 14 gauge lock bars which are mounted in the 3/4" side channels. The lock is typically located in the top section and can be re-keyed in the field. Finish: All steel parts are thoroughly cleaned using a three-stage iron phosphate washer and then coated with an Epoxy-Hybrid powder coat finish using a state-of-the-art electrostatic paint system. Powder coating provides a superior, attractive, uniform finish that is more durable, scratch and corrosion resistant, and environmentally friendly than liquid paint. * Includes 2" of carriage over-travel on each side of System. TrakSlider™ Mobile Filing Systems Specifications GENERAL PRODUCT INFORMATION: All TrakSlider™ Mobile Systems consist of modular, all-welded steel frame and rail assemblies, flush decking, single or multiple row(s) of lateral rolling carriages, and overhead stabilizer & roller assemblies. All systems are designed to accept avariety of media storage requirements and can be configured as a Bi, Tri, and/or QuadSlider System. All TrakSlider™ Systems are modular in design and can be easily reconfigured, expanded, and/or added onto at anytime without the need to disassemble, relocate, or remove existing files. All TrakSlider™ carriages include four wheels that ride on a double rail track for an added measure of stability and safety. MATERIAL AND WORKMANSHIP: All mobile systems are manufactured of high quality, cold roll steel, free of scale or rust. Exposed corners, and surface areas are free of any sharp edges. All rails, stabilizer and carriage assemblies are joined together using state-of-the-art welding technologies. TRACKS: Each modular track assembly will consist of two 14 gauge formed steel rails. The rail assembly will be welded to a minimum of 4 corresponding 14 gauge steel support channels. Track assemblies are easily leveled by adjusting built-in leveling glides found in the support channel located every 12 inches on center. End stops are installed at each end of the rail assembly to provide a safe, cushioned stop for the mobile carriage. All track assemblies include a stainless steel decorative cap. This cap will be attached to the front of the track assembly giving it a finished profile. DECKING: Decking will be manufactured of 16 gauge formed steel, coated with a non-skid textured finish. Deck panels will be installed between each rail creating a smooth unobstructed finish. TOP STABILIZERS: Top stabilizers consist of a single or double 18 gauge steel formed channel attached to the stationary rack, and a 14 gauge steel bracket with two 1-3/8" nylon faced ball bearing rollers attached to the top of each mobile rack. The bearing assembly will be adjustable to compensate for any irregularities in the floor. CARRIAGES: Carriages consist of sections of “U” shaped formed cold roll steel 13 gauge and 14 gauge stringers and cross members, all electrically welded to form a strong and durable frame. WHEELS: Carriage wheels will be 2-3/16" in diameter and made of Delrin®. Each wheel will have (1) 1-7/8" diameter heavy-duty, double sealed, permanently lubricated ball bearing. There are a total of four wheel assemblies per carriage. FINISH: All steel parts are thoroughly cleaned using a three-stage iron phosphate washer. Each steel component is then coated with aHybrid powder coat finish using a state-of-the-art electrostatic paint system.
